- We encourage our children to feel the loss
- We allowed them to see us dealing with the loss
- We printed pictures of Toby
- We keep him alive within our memories by talking about him
- We find things to laugh about (things Toby did)
- The girls prayed for another dog- we feel it's better to full grieve before ‘replacing’ him
